River Jordan's writing career began as a playwright where she spent more than ten years with the Loblolly Theater Group. She is the author of four novels, The Gin Girl, The Miracle of Mercy Land, Saints in Limbo, and The Messenger of Magnolia Street. Jordan’s most recent book, Praying for Strangers: An Adventure of the Human Spirit, is a personal account of her amazing journey as she spent a year praying for people she had never met. Jordan teaches and speaks around the country on "The Power of Story." She also produces and hosts her own radio show in Nashville, Tennessee.
