Maurice Manning
Maurice Manning is the author of four collections of poetry. His poems have also appeared in many periodicals, including Shenandoah, The Southern Review, Poetry, and The New Yorker. In 2009, Manning received the Hanes Poetry Award from the Fellowship of Southern Writers. His book, Lawrence Booth's Book of Visions, was selected by W. S. Merwin for the Yale Series of Younger Poets. Manning’s most recent collection, The Common Man, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in poetry. Manning teaches at Indiana University and divides his time between Bloomington, Indiana, and his farm in Kentucky.
