Mark Richard

Mark Richard is the author of two award-winning short story collections, The Ice at the Bottom of the World and Charity, and a bestselling novel, Fishboy. His short stories have also appeared in the New Yorker, Harper's, Esquire, and Paris Review, among others. Richard is the recipient of a PEN/Hemingway Award, a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, and a Whiting Foundation Writers Award. His most recent book, House of Prayer No. 2: A Writer’s Journey Home, is a memoir recounting his journey to becoming a writer and his journey to faith. Richard lives in Los Angeles, California.
