Kirsten Kelly
Kirsten Kelly is a film and theatre director and educator who lives in New York City. Her film credits include Asparagus! (Stalking the American Life), an award-winning feature documentary, The Real Rosie the Riveter Film Project, and Re-Inventing Rosie. She has co-adapted the Newbery Award winning young adult novel, The Wednesday Wars, for the stage, and also helped create “CPS Shakespeare!” with Chicago Shakespeare Company, an innovative theatre education program working with public high school students and English teachers. Kelly is a graduate of the Master’s Directing program at Juilliard where she received the Andrew W. Mellon Directing Fellowship. A native of Michigan and a Calvin College graduate, she returns to her hometown every summer, where she serves as the artistic director of the Oceana Summer Youth Theatre.
