Jeff Zentner is the author of the young adult novels The Serpent King and Goodbye Days. The Serpent King won the William C. Morris Award, was longlisted for the Carnegie Medal, and was A New York Times Notable Children’s Book of 2016. Additional honors include the Amelia Elizabeth Walden Award, International Literacy Association Award, Westchester Fiction Award, and being a finalist for the Southern Book Prize and Indies Choice Award. He was selected as a Publishers Weekly Flying Start and his first novel also made Amazon’s Best Books of 2016 list. Paste listed Goodbye Days as one of the Top 10 Most Anticipated YA Novels of 2017. Before becoming a writer, Zentner was a musician who recorded with Iggy Pop, Nick Cave, and Debbie Harry. He lives in Nashville.
