Jeff Zentner is the author of two young adult novels, Goodbye Days and The Serpent King. The latter was much decorated: it was a New York Times Notable Children’s Book of 2016, it won the William C. Morris Award, the Amelia Elizabeth Walden Award, International Literacy Association Award, and Westchester Fiction Award; it was longlisted for the Carnegie Medal; and it was a finalist for the Southern Book Prize and the ABA’s Indies Choice Book Award.
Before becoming a writer, Zentner was a musician with three solo albums. He has recorded with Iggy Pop, Nick Cave, and Debbie Harry. He currently lives and works as a lawyer in Nashville.
