Jana Riess is an acquisitions editor with Westminster John Knox Press, a regular contributor to Explorefaith.org, and a freelance writer and editor. She previously was the religion book review editor for Publishers Weekly. Riess is the author or co-author of six books, including Flunking Sainthood, which was selected by Publishers Weekly as a top ten religion book for 2011. She is currently working on The Twible, a three-year Twitter project with humorous daily Bible updates. She holds degrees in religion from Wellesley College and Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in American religious history from Columbia University. Riess lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.
