Jamaal May

Poet Jamaal May is a three-time Rustbelt Regional Poetry Slam Champion and two-time Individual World Poetry Slam finalist. He is the author of two poetry chapbooks, The God Engine and The Whetting of Teeth, with work appearing in Callaloo, Indiana Review, Blackbird, and Verse Daily, among other publications. May holds an MFA from Warren Wilson College and has received fellowships from Cave Canem, Bread Loaf, and Callaloo. He is currently the 2011-2013 Stadler Fellow at Bucknell University, and is working on his first full-length poetry collection, which was a finalist for the National Poetry Series.
