Francisco X. Stork

Francisco X. Stork is the author of five novels, all of which follow teens as they come of age. Born in Monterrey, Mexico, and raised in the United States, he studied Latin American literature at Harvard before completing a law degree at Columbia University. Publishers Weekly praised his first novel, The Way of the Jaguar, as “a splendidly intense debut.” His second book, Behind the Eyes, was selected as both a Commended title for the Américas Award and a New York Public Library Book for the Teen Age. He is also the author of Marcelo in the Real World and The Last Summer of the Death Warriors. His most recent novel, Irises, was published in early this year. Stork works as an attorney for an affordable-housing agency in Massachusetts, writing novels in his spare time.
