Donyelle McCray is an assistant professor of homiletics at Yale Divinity School and a fellow at Yale’s Pauli Murray College. Her first book, The Censored Pulpit (forthcoming), examines the roles of censorship in preaching and explores some of the ways censorship contributed to Julian of Norwich’s illegibility as a preacher. She is currently working on a book on the spirituality and preaching of the Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray.
