Writer and teacher Dave Harrity is a sought-after lecturer and workshop leader on creativity, formation, and imagination. He is the author of Making Manifest: On Faith, Creativity, and the Kingdom at Hand, a craft manual of meditations and writing exercises for individual creative practice and communal formation, as well as two books of poetry, These Intricacies and Our Father in the Year of the Wolf. His work has appeared in Verse Daily, Memorious, Revolver, Killing the Buddha, the Los Angeles Review, Copper Nickel, Confrontation, Softblow, and elsewhere.
Harrity has also received an Emerging Artist Award from the Kentucky Arts Council, a William Alexander II and Lisa Percy Fellow at the Rivendell Writers’ Colony. He is also an editor at Theopoetics and serves as a poetry mentor to writers through Ought Hours.
Harrity lives in Louisville, Kentucky, where he is an assistant professor of English at Campbellsville University.
