Austin Channing Brown


Austin Channing Brown is a writer and speaker focused on black womanhood and faith. She’s been published in Sojourners, Relevant, Mutuality Magazine, and other places around the web and her first book I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness is forthcoming.  Austin has a B. A. in business management from North Park University and a M. A. in social justice from Marygrove College. She has worked with nonprofits, churches, parachurch ministries, and universities in both the urban and suburban context for the advancement of racial justice and reconciliation. Most recently, she served as a resident director and multicultural liaison at Calvin College.
