Tara Isabella Burton

Tara Isabella Burton writes about religion, culture, and travel. Her nonfiction has appeared in many magazines and periodicals, including National Geographic, Smithsonian Magazine, The Paris Review, Salon, and The Atlantic. She is the winner of The Spectator's 2012 Shiva Naipaul Memorial Prize for travel writing. Her fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in PANKArcShimmerand more, and she has recently completed a novel. She is a Clarendon Scholar, currently working on a doctorate in theology and French literature at Trinity College, Oxford.
