Cynthia (Cina) Pelayo is a writer and poet. Her work includes a short story collection entitled Loteria and a novel, Santa Muerte. Her fiction has also appeared in The Horror Zine, Danse Macabre, MicroHorror, Flashes in the Dark, and more. Her journalism work has appeared in Time Out, Extra Bilingual News, Venus Zine, FNews, Atlas Obscura, and more. She holds degrees from Columbia College, Roosevelt University, and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She lives in inner city Chicago with her family.
