Mary Ruefle is the author of many volumes of poetry, including Trances of the Blast, Indeed I Was Pleased With the World, Post-Meridian, The Adamant, which won the Iowa Poetry Prize, and a book of erasures, Little White Shadow. She has also written numerous essays and a collection of fiction, The Most of It. Her work has been anthologized in collections including The Best American Poetry, Great American Prose Poems, and American Alphabets: 25 Contemporary Poets. Ruefle has been the recipient of numerous honors, including the William Carlos Williams Award in 2011, and fellowships from the National Endowment of the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation. She teaches at Vermont College and the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
