Makoto Fujimura is an artist and the author of Culture Care: Reconnecting Beauty for our Common Life. He graduated from Bucknell University, then studied traditional Japanese painting for several years at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. In 1991, Fujimura founded the International Arts Movement and currently acts as creative executive officer. In 2015, Fujimura was appointed director of the Brehm Center for Worship, Theology, and the Arts at Fuller Theological Seminary.
