Christian Wiman

Christian Wiman is a poet, author, editor, and translator. Wiman’s volumes of poetry include Once in the West, Every Riven Thing, The Long Home, and Hard Night. He has also written several works of nonfiction, most recently My Bright Abyss: Meditations of a Modern Believer. His work has appeared in Harper’s, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, and The New York Times Book Review. Wiman was the editor of Poetry magazine for ten years; he is currently a senior lecturer in religion and literature at Yale University.
